The family is the basic unit of society and largely a nation. When the family unit is in trouble, the nation is certainly at risk. Typically, the success of an immigrant family depends a lot on how well they are able to adjust their family dynamics to their new Canadian society. No matter where you come from, there are subtle and major differences in family definition, constitution, roles and responsibilities, parenting styles, culture, etc. To be largely successful, we need to discuss the challenges that immigrant families face, how to even understand the challenges, what to do, etc. These and stories of success and even failed integration because of unstable family dynamics are some of the things that we will be discussing in this category.
